Use of Sulfonate Salts in Concrete

Sulfonate Salts (sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate, sodium linear alkyl benzene sulfonate and sodium alpha olefinsulfonate) mainly act as air entraining agents and water reducing agents in concrete.

1. Major function:

1). During the mixing process of concrete, a large number of uniformly distributed, stable and closed tiny bubbles are generated inside the concrete.

2). Improve concrete cohesion, water retention and anti-segregation properties

3). Improve concrete pumpability

4). Reduce plastic cracks and settlement cracks

5). Greatly improve concrete's ability to resist freeze-thaw cycles

6). Enhance concrete's resistance to chemical attack

2. Dosage:

The appropriate dosage is 0.005-0.015% of the general cement mass

3. Application:

1). Can be used for frost-resistant concrete, impermeable concrete, sulfate-resistant concrete, severely water-infiltrated concrete, lean concrete, lightweight aggregate concrete, artificial aggregates made with ordinary concrete, high-performance concrete, and concrete with finishing requirements.

2). It is not suitable for steam-cured concrete and prestressed concrete. If necessary, it should be determined by test.

3). The air content of concrete mixed with air-entraining agent and air-entraining water-reducing agent, should not exceed the relevant standards.

Henan Surface Chemical Industry Co., Ltd as professional manufacturer and provider in Sulfonate salts (sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, sodium linear alkyl benzene sulfonate and sodium alpha olefinsulfonate) since 2006, continue to supply high quality and performance sulfonate salts in concrete industry, also use in household and civil detergent industry, daily personal care products, oil drilling and gas industry, animal vaccine and health care industry, biocide and pesticides industry.
